Calhoun Towers Then and Now

T.C. Chapman and D’arcy Leck began the construction of the  twenty-one story Calhoun Towers Apartment building on an 8.5 acre lot in 1962. The project was completed two years later. Considered the most luxurious apartment building of it’s time,  the new high-rise was noted for commanding views of three lakes. The tower featured a 21st floor dining room and parking for 125 cars in a heated basement garage. Efficiency apartments as well as one, two and three bedroom units were available with all-electric appliances and central air conditioning. New residents were allowed to choose from a variety of carpeting and interior decor options.
